Almost Halloween, 

   Sitting here this morning thinking about the wiener roast coming up this sat. and hoping it doesn't rain sat.  but they keep adding more rain on . I am thinking about trick or treating when the children were small, and I wouldn't let them go by theirselves so I went with them. we were going to throw corn at peoples houses, as that is what we did then besides knocking on doors for a treat, but the corn was more fun. It didn't really hurt anything, it  would just scare  you to death it you were just sitting in there reading or something and all of a sudden a big handfull of dried corn hit the side of  your house. and I told them now you  had to run real fast after you did it. before they came out and caught you. so we were going along having a good O time, when one  house we hit , a policeman lived there and here he came out the door, and we took off and he was getting in his car to come after us. so I yelled for them to hit the ditch, to  hide , it was a kinda deep ditch and when got in it , it had water in it , and from the smell  it had to be from someones  toilet, at least it smelled like that , and we had to stay there till he went by, and then we had to go home to change clothes and clean up. so that ended the tricks for that night, and another thing we did, but I didn't have the little ones do it. we took a stick and ran it down the side of the house and it made a big noise, and then you better run, I guess I got a lot of exercise when I was young. of course there were no vinyl siding then it was wooden, so it didn't leave too much damage,. As far as I know it didn't leave any damage as I never went back to see. I really wasn't such a bad kid though, course there were a couple other things  like bridge painting ,that I won't go into now. or probably ever. Maybe that is why as I got  older I became a painter, and  joined the painters union in Indpls. painted for yrs and then went into hanging vinyl. traveled for yrs doing that, until retirement. and here I am 85 yrs old, and taking care of my daughter Pat, we have been to the emergency room twice this week, I sure hope this morning when I talk to her she is a lot better, she has been sick for so long. quit a few things wrong. and with all the pill she has to take for pain, she is doing weird things at night, like falling out of bed. I wish she would come stay with us, Well will get off of here for now, and get dressed as  I have to be at the drug store when it opens to get her med. prescriptions filled. they have gave 3 different things now , trying to find out what is wrong, sure hope they have hit the nail on the head this time. they got to do something about this pain the girl is going thru. later.

                              

          after 4 and been sitting here ince 2:30. leg hurting so couldn't sleep.  I finally got the operation on my legs. One they think is cancer and the other, from about 4 yrs ago when motorcycle fell on my leg. haven't been on the cycle since that day. I know earl hates to ride by hiself so he just leaves it sit most of the time.
    had the surgury yesterday, and it went well. and didn't hurt till in the night. so I went to bed at 10 and read till about 11 and then got back up at 2 30, so here I sit. going to have to change the bandages today. 
    nothing planned for today. I guess I will sit and read or play on here. I figured this was a good time to write something, but drew a blank I am not much of a thinker, so will try to get back later.  going to get some cantalope now.

  It seems like Pat is on the way now, the dr. said she can start using the leg now as long as it doesn't hurt too much, but the bone is not all healed yet. hoping this will be her yr. to get up and go. she was bedfast almost the whole last yr.  Miss getting to run with her so much. but I know the hardest part was for her not getting to get out of that little room except to go to the dr. and then it was in a motorized chair. she has had a rough yr. Just praying that it all is coming to an end. but I don't think they can do anything for her back. so she will probably still have to use the chair if she is going to be on a shopping trip.
 Johnny and charlene are coming tomorrow, so will have to figure out what I am going to have for dinner,
they like chicken and we like beef so will see who I am going to satisfy.
 I am so glad that it is starting to look like spring. I have 2 bushes with buds on them and we are going to have cold weather and snow this week, so I may have to put a bucket over them. I love my flowers out in the yard,
  Oh, I made a valentine heart with flowers on it and took over to debbie. I forgot to take the camera and get a picture of it, but will try to do that today.  will get off now.

                                           

                 Didn't know how hard it would be to try to do this on a schedule, guess I should have asked twiggy, she would know. love her blogs and read everyone of them. and now I have to start getting the Pink magazine, which I had never heard of , till she started working for them.
       yesterday was a hurting day. went to dermatology and he must have froze off about 10 or 20 places on my arms and face that could turned to cancer if not taken off, and boy  does it hurt. for about an hr. and then he scrapped  a place on my leg and a place on my face that made the other things he did seem like a picnic. I had to yell out  loud on them. Pat said I looked terrible when I came out of there. but that is over. have to go back in 2 weeks to find out if it is all ok.  but there are  2 other places   , one on each leg , that he left alone, said I had to go see the surgeon for them. so guess the pain is not over yet. Here I was going along thinking all was fine. that's what I get for thinking. I have been told to let others do the thinking.
       earl goes to the heart dr. today. will see what he says.
      been trying to separate my hostas, seems like this needs to be done about every yr. boy those things get big. so I had to make a new flower bed, will put a pic on here of it. got to get some color in it besides green.
      been wanting to go to ky and see chris.  been awhile. wish she wasn't 3 hrs away. worry about her also, she is not as well as she wants me to think.
     almost got everything together to start making a bracelet out of beads. the one I am starting on says it is for the experienced beader, and so me who has never did too much in beads  is going to start on it.  will let you know how this turns out.


                                                   

                        another wonderful day. sun. 

  Seems like it has been forever since I have been back to writing on here, I intend to do it often and then it seems like there is always something else that needs to be done. and what needs to be done is trivial, but I have finished a beading job I have been working on. and now I got a glimpse of wire wrapping, and I found the most pretty beach stone yesterday that I had put away sometime or other and forgot and I was thinking this would make a pretty necklace and then this morning was looking thru face book and found wire wrapping and that is what I am going to do with this stone. and I think it looks a lot easier than beading. I have waited too late in my life to do all the things I want to do. So am trying to catch up. Got so many things I want to do. and want to get the tulips planted, I went to try to buy them yesterday, but to early they don't have them out yet. I will make the bed in a different place this time as I think it was too wet in the other place, they were so pretty the first yr and then never came up again. (maybe they were short term tulips)                                                                                               wishing Pat could get well. miss all the running her and I use to do. it seems like everyday we were going to sales and buying junk. but it was fun. wish chris lived closer and she could have ran with us. I guess chris is in more pain than she lets on when she is around me.  Don't know why they have to be in so much pain. I have had a good life, not too much sickness, and feeling good most of the time. and I guess having a younger man around all the time as kept me from just sitting and getting stiff in all the joints. I have had a real good marriage with this younger man. not any money, but plenty of love. and now he is taking care of me , and holding my hand so I won't fall when we are out and about,                                                                                    I have found I have cancer on my leg, and hoping that is the only place, but will find out on the 15th. so won't dwell on that.         picking Cathy up tues.she is coming in from arizonia, going to spend some time with us. been quite a few yrs since I have seen her, and 30 something yrs since the rest of the family have seen her, so a big homecoming is planned                                             looking forward to Johnnys birthday party sat they have a lot planned and now this morn the tv is saying rain. just have to hope the tv is lying. It won't be near as much fun I we have to spend it all inside.                                                                                     got to get off now and think about what I am going to wear this morning to church. 

                                         

     just read Marcy's blog, she does a swell job. I have been following her blog for over a yr. and she does the best photography ,
   I was helping pull weeds and cattails in the field out behind yesterday and got 4 bites, I say spider and earl said it could be chiggers. vinegar kills weeds and chiggers are in the weeds so I soaked my legs in vinegar, but they are still itching this morning. I don't think I will be in the field today, alltho I do like to help earl.
   missing Debbie a lot lately, with all the holidays , she loved parties. and cookouts, and she missed her cruise, but she took the ultimate cruise, not on the sea, but in the air. and got all the perks that went with it. lovely girl.
  
                                                      

    Been  awhile since I have typed anything, I would like to write every day but I am not that person. 
Had fun fathers day cookout at our sons house in morgantown, on sat. the 15th, got to ride the new 4 wheeler 750 . nice , had power steering. He has a woods behind his house and trails going all thru it and in the creek. have so much fun there and visiting with char's brother and his wife, who are the best friends you could ever ask for, super nice people. 
  I am still worrying about daughter Pat, she just isn't getting back to normal. I wish so much that she would stop smoking, I know that would help a lot. It certainly can't be helping any. 
 chris in ky. I don't think she is as well as she wants me to think she is. I don't see her a lot so I have to go by what she tells me. 
 Been trying to clean up this place. earl works on outside and me inside. decided to dust a what knot shelf that looked like it hadn't been dusted for 5 yrs. that got me started. and then I painted the back door inside and the woodwork around it. and plan on doing a lot more today.  I never understand why some one would put the washer and dryer by the furnace. I think that is why I have so much dust. 
 well will get off that subject, 
  Want to say what a fine family  I have, I don't know how I managed to have such marvelous children. Oh and Pat and I and my good daughter in law, and great granddaughter met the daughter from ky , chris. at a halfway point and had a good meal at cracker barrel, and then sat out in front and gave chris her birthday presents, and just had a good visit. so glad char went with us.
 I know there are a lot of things I want to put in here, and I need to start making notes,as they happen. but for now will go put second coat on door.
